FAQs

What is Flex and what is their relationship with Onecompress?

Onecompress has partnered with Flex so you can use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA). You can use your HSA or FSA debit card to buy eligible Onecompress compression wear with pre-tax dollars, saving up to 30% depending on your tax bracket.

How do I pay with my HSA or FSA card?

Add products to your cart as usual. At checkout, select “Flex | Pay with HSA/FSA” as your payment option, enter your HSA or FSA debit card, and complete checkout. If you do not see that option, you may be in Shop Pay. Choose “checkout as guest” to see more payment options.

Why can I not see Flex as a payment method?

Make sure you are logged out of Shop Pay. The easiest fix is to go through checkout in an incognito window.

Why is my HSA/FSA card being declined?

HSA/FSA cards are debit cards, and the most common reason for declines is insufficient funds. Contact your HSA/FSA administrator to confirm your balance.

What is a Letter of Medical Necessity?

It is a note from a licensed provider stating that you are buying an item to treat or manage a medical condition. More details are here.

Why do I need to provide health information?

To qualify to use your HSA or FSA funds, the IRS requires a Letter of Medical Necessity. Onecompress partnered with Flex to include a brief telehealth step at checkout. Within 24 hours of purchase, Flex emails your Letter of Medical Necessity and itemized receipt.

Do I need to do anything with my Letter of Medical Necessity?

Keep it on file for at least three years in case of an IRS audit. Some FSA administrators may also ask for it to confirm eligibility.

I did not receive an email from Flex. What should I do?

Check your spam folder for mail from notifications@withflex.com. If it is still missing, email them with the address used for your order.

What products are eligible for HSA/FSA?

Eligible Onecompress compression wear purchased through the Flex checkout path qualifies with a Letter of Medical Necessity. Eligibility can vary by plan, so confirm coverage with your HSA/FSA administrator before ordering.

What if I do not have my HSA/FSA card available?

Still select “Flex | Pay with HSA/FSA”, enter your regular credit card, and Flex will email an itemized receipt to submit for reimbursement.

Can I use multiple HSA/FSA cards on one order?

No, this is not supported right now. If one account lacks funds, enter a credit card on the Flex checkout page. You will still receive an itemized receipt and Letter of Medical Necessity for reimbursement.

Is sales tax covered by HSA/FSA funds?

Sales tax on eligible items is also covered. If your cart mixes eligible and non-eligible items, the tax is divided across the payment methods used.

Who do I contact with more HSA/FSA questions?
