Why bamboo instead of nylon

Most ankle supports are nylon or neoprene. They compress fine. The problem is what they do to your skin after a few hours.

Softer against sensitive skin

A smooth, comfortable fabric made for hours of wear rather than short bursts.

Comfortable enough for the night

Soft, flexible support without the bulk of a rigid brace, so you can keep it on in bed.

Breathable when you wear it all day

Helps avoid the hot, sweaty feeling you get from heavier nylon and neoprene supports.

Stays fresh

Bamboo resists odour build-up far better than cotton. Wear it overnight and again the next day.

Real customers, real feet

No scripts, no actors, just customers who offered.

When you are healing but not healed

There is a stretch between the rigid brace and nothing at all. That is where most people find us.

You spend weeks or months in a cast or a boot. Then it comes off, and you are supposed to walk normally again. Except your ankle feels unsteady, it swells by the afternoon, and the brace they gave you is too stiff to walk in or too bulky to wear inside a shoe.

Onecompress sits in that gap. Enough compression to hold the ankle steady and keep the swelling down, soft enough to wear through a full day while you get your strength back.

One thing worth saying
This is a compression support, not a rigid brace. If you are early in your recovery, or you have pins, plates or an open incision, check with your surgeon or physical therapist before you switch. Plenty of our customers did exactly that, and came back with the go-ahead.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size should I order?

Measure the widest part of your calf, and measure late in the day when your legs are at their most swollen. That is the measurement the sleeve has to fit. If you are between sizes, go up. Going up also gives you longer straps, which is the other reason people exchange. And if you get it wrong, we will sort it out.

What if I order the wrong size?

Email or call us and we will send the right size. It is the most common thing people contact us about and it is never a problem.

How do I return or exchange something?

Email support@onecompress.com or call +1 (877) 880-7132 and we will send you a return label.

Do I have to use the straps?

No. The sleeve gives you compression on its own. The straps are there for extra support when you want it, and they come off if you would rather go without.

Is it hard to pull on?

No, and this is the main reason people move over from compression socks. It slips on and comes off easily, and there is an instruction card in the box showing you how.

Can I wear it in bed?

Yes, and many people do. It is soft and breathable enough to sleep in, which is when compression does some of its quietest work on swelling. If it feels too tight overnight, loosen or take the straps off and keep just the sleeve on.

Will it fit over an already swollen ankle?

Yes, that is what it is for. Just choose your size on your swollen measurement rather than your normal one.

Will it fit inside my shoe?

Yes, for most everyday shoes. It is noticeably slimmer than a hard-sided brace.

How soon will I feel a difference?

Swelling often responds quickly. Several customers describe a difference on the first day or the first night. Pain usually takes longer, most often somewhere in the first one to three weeks.

Will this work for my condition?

It helps with swelling and edema, plantar fasciitis and heel pain, Achilles tendonitis, arthritis, peripheral neuropathy, diabetic foot and post-surgical recovery. Results vary from person to person.

Can I wear it with diabetes or neuropathy?

Many of our customers do, and the soft, non-irritating fabric is a large part of why. If you have diabetes, neuropathy or any circulation condition, check with your doctor before starting compression so they can advise on the right level.

I have just had surgery. Can I use it?

A lot of people switch to it once the cast or boot comes off. If you still have pins, plates, staples or an open incision, ask your surgeon or physical therapist first. This is a compression support, not a rigid brace, so it does not replace immobilisation early in recovery.

Can I wash it?

Machine wash on cold and let it air dry. Do not put it in the tumble dryer, as the heat will shorten the life of the fabric and can affect the stretch.

Do I need one or two?

Each sleeve covers one ankle. If only one side gives you trouble, one is all you need. Many people order a second so they always have one on while the other is drying.

How long will shipping take?

Orders arrive in 2 to 5 business days. Shipping is free on orders over $95.

Can I order by phone?

Yes. Call +1 (877) 880-7132 and a real person will help you pick a size. Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm EST, Saturday 9am to 3pm EST.

Wear it. Walk in it. Sleep in it.
Decide for yourself.

Try Onecompress for 60 days. If your ankle does not feel better, send it back for a refund. Wrong size, and we will exchange it free.
